On an afternoon tryst to hell

In Germany there's a rule that says you have to register with the local council within seven days or be beaten to death with pretzels. Or something similar. So Mark, Simon and I decided to venture to the delightful Bürgerbüro and do the right thing. And when I say "venture" I actually mean spend half of our day walking through Munich via Brasil.

The good news is that we managed to get there half an hour before it closed.


The bad news is that we had to wait two and a half hours in a claustrophobic room that smelled like the seventies.


The good news is that the delightful chappy who served us spoke English and didn't tell us off for being obnoxious foreigners.


The bad news is that previous to meeting with Herr Johann we panicked and spent all of our change on getting passport photos taken. Photos which, it turns out, we didn't actually need.


The good news is that we are now officially registered!
